Reality TV star, author and mom of two Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is getting real about weight loss and fitness. She posted recently on Facebook that while she’s struggled with weight her entire life, she’s now discovered the joys of working out. “Strong,” Snooki wrote, “is the new sexy.”
After being “completely unhealthy skinny” when she was young and then weighing more than she ever had when the world first met her as a breakout star of MTV’s Jersey Shore, Snooki has settled in as a health nut whose muscular arms are something to aspire to. “I loved myself skinny, overweight and fit!,” the star of the FYI series Nicole & Jionni’s Shore Flip said on Facebook. “Always was confident and loved my body. Point is, having lived in 3 different types of bodies- STRONG is the best one for me.”
Snooki, who also co-stars in the Awestruck web series Moms With Attitude alongside her former Jersey Shore sidekick Jenni “JWoww” Farley, has posted workout videos on her YouTube channel and on Instagram to help motivate others to join her in her fitness quest. The thing we loved most? Watching her do push-ups, with her 3-year-old son, Lorenzo, giggling as he follows her lead.
