Anne Hathaway stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about the upcoming release of her new film Alice Through the Looking Glass, her new role as a first-time mom and so much more! While chatting with Ellen DeGeneres, the 33-year-old former Millburn resident opened up about a slightly upsetting, yet empowering, trip to the gym that ultimately left her in tears.

“I would normally walk in and feel so intimidated,” Anne said. “But I [now] walk in and I’m like ‘Yeah, I work out with 5 pound weights, but I pushed a baby out of my body! I feel good right now. So I don’t care what I look like, I feel great!'”

While breaking a sweat on her favorite piece of workout equipment (the rowing machine), Anne noticed a cute muscular guy staring her down. This gave her a boost of confidence, seeing as she just gave birth to 2-month-old son Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman on March 24, 2016.

He (who she calls “Brandon” to shield his identity) walked up to her and started talking, so she decided to inform that she recently had a baby. Anne thought the man would compliment her, but boy was she wrong.

“He goes, ‘Oh, trying to lose the baby weight?'” Anne said. “So I say, ‘No, Brandon, it’s a little bit too soon to worry about weight. I’m just trying to regain my strength.’ … And he walked away, and I cried a little bit.”

Don’t worry Anne, we think you look AMAZING!
