The band’s founder and Lead singer Jon Bon Jovi told an audience in Nashville in April that the album should be released this fall and they hope to tour in early 2017 and said the album is “all about our integrity.”
According to Billboard, since the band has now completed its contract with Mercury Records, “the new album will be released in partnership with Island/Universal Music Group, according to a source, marking the group’s return to UMG.”
Bon Jovi told CBS in May that he hasn’t seen former bandmate Richie Sambora in three years. “I haven’t seen him in over three years. He just didn’t show up for work anymore. And that’s the truth of the matter. And, you know, life goes on. You know, being in a rock band is not a life sentence … you have other things in your life that you care to do,” he said.
In addition to completing his latest musical endeavor, Jon Bon Jovi has been active making his home state a better place. In May, he and his wife Dorothea’s Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation held the grand opening for B.E.A.T. Center (Bringing Everyone Together) in Toms River, which includes his second Soul Kitchen restaurant (the first is in Red Bank). The community restaurant allows customers to do volunteer work to pay for their meal, or donate to cover the cost.
