It’s officially okay to wear white: JerseyFashionista shows us how

The majority of the fashion-conscious community isn’t afraid to break the age-old rule of keeping white clothing and shoes in storage before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. (Fun fact: the “rule” just began as a practice of common sense in the early 1900s. According to TIME editor Lily Rothman, white clothes were more comfortable in the pre-air conditioning days and less practical for the brutal weather of the fall and winter months. Eventually, the tradition became a rule.)

Whether you’re a rule-follower or a rebel, we’re all finally in the clear to wear white, and OMJ Trendestter Lillie Morales is giving us the best summer outfit inspiration.
