Grab a blanket! Hoboken’s Movies Under The Stars is back

What could be more relaxing than watching a movie outside on a warm summer evening? Get ready to enjoy free movies with fellow film buffs when Hoboken’s Movies Under The Stars starts next week. You can even bring snacks (but no alcohol!). June and July screenings begin at 9 p.m., while August’s start at 8:15 p.m. It all happens at Pier A Park at First Street and Frank Sinatra Drive. June’s screenings include Creed (June 8), Joy (June 15), Star Wars: The Force Awakens (June 22) and The Big Short (June 29). July films include The Martian (July 13), Brooklyn (July 20), Star Wars: The Force Awakens (on a Monday, July 25, at Mama Johnson Field 4th Street between Jackson & Harrison Street) and Jurassic World (July 27), with performances on July 13 and 27 by singer/songwriter Mya Hansen. August will feature more family friendly films, including Minions (August 3), The Peanuts Movie (August 10) and Inside Out (August 17). On August 3 and 17, little ones can get fitness demos at 7 p.m. by My Gym Hoboken and on August 10 at 7 p.m. Preschool of Rock will kick the night off with a kid-friendly musical performance.
