Learn weaving, macrame and cookie decorating at The Market Asbury Park

Summer is all about hanging out at the beach, relaxing and chilling, right? Well, at The Market Asbury Park, you can add a little education into the mix— no, not summer school, but the fun kind of learning. What do you mean?

Well, tomorrow they’ve got a beginners weaving workshop, taught by Katie Friedland of Alkove, where you can learn to make things like this:

Then on June 25 you can learn all about DIY vision boards from My Social Heirloom.


On July 2 there’s a fireworks and flags cookie decorating workshop by Sweet Dani B, just in time to get your red, white and blue on for Independence Day. You’ll also learn how to make a mermaid cookie like the adorable ones below.

On July 9 there will be be a macrame workshop by Steady Hand Creative. You’ll learn how to make a double plant hanger like the one below.


July 16 and August 6 My Social Heirloom is back for more crafting fun with workshops on  dreamcatchers and soy candles, respectively.
