Actor Patrick Wilson‘s latest film, The Conjuring 2, hits theaters today, but fellow residents of Montclair don’t have to wait for a new movie release to spot him. Patrick is a regular at local restaurants, and can often be seen out and about with his family, which includes wife Dagmara Dominczyk, an actress and author, and their two sons. While he’s a proud Jersey resident, Dagmara took some convincing before agreeing to move from Greenpoint, Brooklyn to the Garden State six years ago.

In a recent NJ.com interview, Patrick confessed, “Dragging my wife out to New Jersey was difficult. But like a lot of people in New York, after a couple of kids, you start looking at the school system and you start thinking about migrating. And once we got past Route 3, we saw how beautiful this state could be.”

Wilson, who made a splash when he bedded Lena Dunham‘s Girls character, Hannah, in a 2013 episode, is a regular at the Montclair Film Festival and has spoken at the Montclair Art Museum.

For her part, Dagmara admits that she was skeptical about Jersey at first, but quickly came around. She said in a 2013 interview, “The first house I saw, I started crying. I wanted to live there and give that to my boys.”

Judging from her Twitter account, Jersey life suits her just fine.
