Evesham Township native Christina Grimmie has died after being shot at her Orlando, Florida concert Friday night. The 22 year old singer, who came in third place on The Voice in 2014 , was signing autographs after the show at the Plaza Live Theater around 10:45 pm, when an unidentified man shot her. It is being reported that Christina’s brother tackled the gunman, who then fatally shot himself. Christina was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, and died a few hours later. Police have not named the suspect or given a motive for the shooting.

Christina, who got her start performing on YouTube, shot to fame after competing on The Voice during its sixth season, where she came in third place. She attended Cherokee High School until 2010, then was home schooled before pursuing her singing career in California in 2011.
