Fifth Harmony gets entire crowd to pay tribute to Christina Grimmie at WBLI Summer Jam

While performing at WBLI Summer Jam in Wantagh, New York on Saturday, Fifth Harmony held a moment of silence for fallen singer and prominent contender on The Voice, Christina Grimmie. While signing autographs after a show at the Plaza Live in Orlando on Friday, the 22-year-old Martlton artist was fatally shot  by 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl.

The sea of people who gathered at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater fell completely silent when Fifth Harmony asked for a moment to pay their respect to Christina. The crowd immediately illuminated the the venue with the lights from their cell phones.

“Such a beautiful soul, such a beautiful talent,” Fifth Harmony member Normani Kordei told the crowd. “From the moment that we met she was always nice to us. So humble. We love you and we are praying for your family. And we know you are smiling down from above. Let’s all bow our heads down. Christina Grimmie.”
