Singer and actress Laura Benanti didn’t spend all night partying it up after the Tony Awards; instead, the multi-talented beauty went home and ran her dishwasher. Celebrities really are just like us, aren’t they?
The Nashville and Supergirl actress, didn’t seem to mind the domestic scene, calling her husband Patrick Brown “the best date, and only award I need.” How sweet! Benanti was nominated this year for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for the revival of She Loves Me; the Tony Award went to Cynthia Erivo for her role in The Color Purple.
Laura, who grew up in Kinnelon, dedicated her performance last night to the lives that were lost in the tragic Pulse nightclub massacre in Orlando.
Tonight, every note I sing will be in remembrance of the lives taken in Orlando. ????
