So much for mix and mingling.

On Friday, Nick Jonas released his highly anticipated third solo album Last Year Was Complicated featuring some of radio’s hottest hits like “Close” and “Chainsaw.” The 23-year-old former Wyckoff resident describes this project as one of his most personal one to date, singing songs of his breakup with ex-girlfriend Olivia Culpo.

Although releasing his emotions through his music acted as a “therapeutic” experience for him, the young crooner is in no rush to hop into another relationship. Nick has a lot on his plate right now, including a joint tour with BFF Demi Lovato, and his main focus is work.

“I don’t know if I’m really looking for another relationship at the moment,” Nick told E News. “I think it’s really all about the work right now. I’ve literally had no time. I’ve been so busy, there’s literally been zero time. Maybe at some point, but right now, it’s full steam ahead.”

“I think this record-making process was very therapeutic for me in many ways,” Nick added. “Being able to kind of pour my life and heart into the music and tell my stories in a really honest way felt great. It’s the rare opportunity you have as an artist to be able to work through some of the stuff in your life, and hopefully it helps people in their own journey and whatever they’re going through.”
