In late November 2014, actress Zoe Saldana and husband Marco Perego welcomed twin boys Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio Perego-Saldana. The 37-year-old Passaic-born Star Trek Beyond star was forced to deliver her children through an emergency C-section at 32 weeks into her pregnancy.

Despite the rollercoaster of emotions she experienced during and after the pregnancy, Zoe has received an overwhelming amount of support from the women in her life. She grew up surrounded by strong women, which is why she welcomes all women with open arms.

“I got an email from Jessica Alba — who I only know from conversations in the bathroom at events — saying, ‘Hey, congratulations. This is my to-do list of how I did things. Maybe there will be something you can use,'” Zoe told Allure. When Cindy Crawford heard that Saldana and her husband were ready to sleep-train the boys, “she emailed to say, ‘There’s this doctor, and I swear by his technique.'”

We all need a little magic in our lives. Thanks for the great show @D_Copperfield! ✨

“That love and support from the network of women around you, it made me really…” Zoe got emotional and began to cry when talking about it. “I get emotional because if we continue to do that, we will be unstoppable. As opposed to nitpicking at each other for arbitrary things such as weight and hair color and purses.”
