Fetty Wap attended a Paterson Board of Education meeting to address the scandal surrounding his “Wake Up” music video.

Shortly after the video’s release, Eastside High School principal Zatiti Moody was placed on paid suspension while the district investigates the approval of the use of the school in the music video, which features drugs and strippers.

“If I disrespected anybody, I came today to apologize,” Fetty Wap said. “But I also wanted to let people know that I’m a product of my environment.”

Eastside High students are protesting the suspension and defending Principal Moody, NJ.com reported.

Although the New Jersey rapper showed up an hour late to the meeting, he felt his attendance was necessary. “I had to. For Paterson,” he said.

Before the meeting, the proud Paterson native urged his four million Instagram followers to support Principal Moody.

Come to John F Kennedy high school tonight at 7pm to support Mr.Moody ????
