Father’s Day is Sunday, June 19, and if you’re in northern New Jersey and looking for the perfect way to celebrate with dad in Hoboken or Jersey City, check out these ideas from local blogger Hoboken Girl and visit her blog for more family friendly activities.

Meat lovers should check out the bargain House Of ‘Que smoked prime rib dinner, where for $49.99 you’ll get to chow down on a 32 ounce prime rib along with two sides. Enjoy $5 mimosas or indulge in the make-your-own Bloody Mary bar while you listen to live music from noon to 3 p.m.

If dad’s into music, enjoy live jazz at Madison Bar and Grill from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or steak and lobster specials from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

If he’s a seafood fan, on Sunday, bring the whole family for the Lobster Grill at Pier 13, where for $288 you’ll get lobster, grilled split tails, slaw, corn, dessert and 16 beers from Luke’s Lobster. Each table serves up to eight people (but it’s the same price even if you have fewer than eight).

Back at the office? That's okay, we'll help you pretend you're still by the sea… #regram #tasteofmaine

Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Project Eats Street Festival, a “food centric marketplace” at City Hall Plaza in Jersey City, where you’ll find edibles ranging from pizza to burgers to Korean barbecue to pretzels and much more.

Continue the holiday celebration on Monday at the Jersey City Farmer’s Market at Grove PATH Plaza, which is there every Monday and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and features over 25 vendors selling everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to empanadas and homemade mozzarella.
