Earlier this month singer Christina Grimmie was tragically killed by a gunman in Orlando — just one day prior to the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub — and she will be remembered for her talent and warm spirit.
The Marlton born beauty, who was 22 at the time of her death, rose to fame on The Voice, but first got her start on YouTube, and this weekend the co-founders of VidCon memorialized the songstress with a touching video.
The montage of clips, presented by Hank and John Green, feature her live performances and many YouTube videos as Christina’s song “With Love” plays in the background.
Last week, the songwriter was laid to rest after a viewing of her body was held at the Fellowship Alliance Chapel near her New Jersey hometown. During the service many of her family and friends shared stories of the talent whose life was cut too short, according to report from E! News.
“I don’t have anything to say,” said her brother Marcus. “I don’t have words still and it’s a good and bad thing. All I’m going to say is thank God for the mark that she left on this world. Thanks mom and dad I know it’s going to be really tough for us to move forward.”
He continued, “”All the rumors are true that when the gunman came…her arms were open. That’s how she treated everyone she knew, her arms were open for them. So thanks again for coming out you guys, and I love you Christina.”
