NJ Transit express trains will make 10 stops along the Jersey Shore this summer.

As flocks of city dwellers descend upon the beaches this summer, traveling between NYC and the Jersey Shore will soon be a lot easier.

NJ Transit announced it will begin express train service between New York Penn Station and Bay Head with stops along the way, which means urban beachgoers will avoid having to transfer in Long Branch and Garden State residents can more efficiently jaunt up to the Big Apple as weekend crowds invade the seaside towns.

The new service will depart from Penn Station to Shore points at 9:01 am and 10:01 am Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from June 26 to September 10.

Trains heading to the city from Bay Head depart at 4:54 pm and 6:54 pm with just enough time to catch dinner or a night out on the town.

There are 10 scheduled stops in Monmouth and Ocean Counties including Asbury Park and Point Pleasant Beach!
