Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has been holding up well while husband Joe serves his 41-month prison sentence for fraud at a federal prison in Fort Dix, but she’s looking forward to having him home to help raise their four daughters.
Although it is difficult to live without their father, the Giudice girls are used to visiting a parent in prison after Teresa’s 11-month sentence.
“I’m not going to say it’s easier, but the girls went through it with me already. We get in and out. They’ve got it down pat,” the Montville resident told the publication of the 90-plus-minute drive.
Teresa added that telling the girls how quickly her sentence passed is a coping mechanism.
“I try to remind them, ‘Now that mommy is home, didn’t it go by fast? That’s how it’s going to be for daddy too,'” Teresa said.
Although Joe doesn’t come home until 2019, he’s able to communicate with the family frequently via email.
