Conservative commentator and actress Stacey Dash is back in the news this week, this time not for her support for the NRA and gun rights but for calling Grey’s Anatomy actor Jesse Williams a “Hollywood plantation slave” in a blog post following his speech Sunday at the BET Awards upon winning the network’s Humanitarian Award. In the speech, Williams discussed police violence and the killing of 12-year-old Tamir Rice, stating, “Now, what we’ve been doing is looking at the data and we know that police somehow manage to deescalate, disarm and not kill white people everyday. So what’s going to happen is we are going to have equal rights and justice in our own country or we will restructure their function and ours.”

Stacye’s post, entitled “Racist speech at BET Awards attacked white people,” was also a diatribe against the network, opening with the line, “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: BET is keeping racism and segregation alive and this past Sunday’s awards show proves it.” Stacey went on to say that Jesse’s speech was “straight out of the Black Lives Matter playbook” and supported Justin Timberlake, who faced a backlash after he Tweeted that he was inspired by Jesse’s speech.

Stacy concluded, “You’ve just seen the perfect example of a HOLLYWOOD plantation slave! Sorry, Mr Williams. But the fact that you were standing on that stage at THOSE awards tells people you really don’t know what your talking about. Just spewing hate and anger.

Because you my man are just like everyone else hustling to get money. But your cognitive dissidents has you getting it from THAT BYSTANDER whom YOU DONT NEED. Yes. BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION is WHITE OWNED.

GET over yourself and get on with it!”
