Puff Daddy has finally unloaded his seven-bedroom Alpine estate nine years after first putting it on the market, but isn’t getting the cash he hoped.
The hip-hop mogul took a price cut for the mansion that sits on a sprawling 3.5 acres in the upscale north Jersey community, according to a NY Post report.
The luxurious home at 207 Anderson Avenue features all the amenities a rap star would want including a swimming pool with waterfalls, putting green, lighted tennis court, mahogany-paneled library, nine-and-a-half baths, fully equipped gym, indoor basketball/racquetball court, custom home theater and an attached six-car garage.
In 2011 the “I’ll Be Missing You” hitmaker listed the property for $13.5 million, but re-listed it at $8 million. The Post reported it went under contract in June for “well under” that most recent asking price.
Although Alpine was listed by Forbes as one of the wealthiest zip codes in the country, the solid brick estate failed to move for nearly a decade because of its proximity to less expensive homes in the $700,000 range, the Post also reported.
Diddy purchased the home in 2004 for $6 million, but didn’t spend much time alongside neighbors including Chris Rock, Lil’ Kim and Britney Spears before listing it for just under $9 million in 2007.
The rapper also owns a $40 million estate in the Holmby Hills section of LA, an estate in the Hamptons and a property in Manhattan.
