We already knew that equestrian Jessica Springsteen is obsessed with horses based on her Instagram posts, and her passion has continued in recent weeks. The New Jersey native, daughter of rockers Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa, is spending much of her summer riding and competing, but even when she’s not officially on the back of one of her horses, she’s enjoying them in a more casual way. Jessica, 24, who’s a Polo Ralph Lauren brand ambassador, was in Paris this weekend to compete in the prestigious Longines Global Champions Tour, alongside the best international riders from across the globe.
Jessica told equestrian site Equnews that she recently moved to the Netherlands to continue working with her trainer. After attempting to qualify for the 2012 Olympics, she is now focused on earning a spot representing the United States in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. “Like most riders I dream to compete at the Olympic Games. I don’t think the Rio 2016 Games will be it. I still need to train and learn a lot. Therefor I’ve decided to focus on the 2020 [Tokyo] Games. I will do my best to keep my horses sane. Further I hope to continue to represent the USA at some FEI Nations Cup competitions.”
Jessica has also gotten to spend some time riding with her boyfriend of three years, polo player Nic Roldan.
