Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star and Princeton alum Ellie Kemper is expecting a baby this summer, and although her pregnancy is going well, there’s one thing she just really doesn’t understand.
While chatting with Willie Geist on TODAY Sunday, the comedian explained that she doesn’t like when people touch her growing baby bump.
“I don’t know what goes through a person’s mind,” said Ellie. “A stranger’s mind no less, when they think ‘oh yes your stomach is now something that belongs to me and I can touch it!'”
The mom-to-be has tried to find a way to remain positive about strangers’ reactions to her pregnancy.
“In a way, I think it’s a nice reminder of humanity, but then I go quickly back to the idea that you wouldn’t do this if i weren’t pregnant!” she explained. “I’m not a very, touchy-feely comfortable person, so when someone touches me I’m like ‘ah! personal space violation!'”
Ellie has some pretty hilarious feelings about pregnancy in general. Watch below as she tells Ellen DeGeneres about her realization that most men have baby bumps, too!
