The pop star is taking over The Prudential Center in Newark Saturday night with his Purpose World Tour. Indie Street Film Festival

Take a break from the beach this weekend at this Red Bank festival with screenings all over the shore town. Notable films in the lineup include the Hurricane Sandy documentary After Sandy, the comedian-driven film Can We Take a Joke? and Little Men starring Greg Kinnear. $15 to $849. Garden State Comic Fest

If you’re someone who loves comic books, this is the event for you. Interact with the writers, creators, artists and editors of everything from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Nick Fury.
