You already know where to get the best beach workouts in New Jersey, but what about the best place to soak up some rays in the Garden State overall? Well, now it’s official. According to a NJ.com poll which garnered 5,000 votes, the six best beaches in New Jersey are: Cape May, Island Beach State Park, Long Beach Township (Long Beach Island), Ocean City, Point Pleasant Beach and Wildwood Crest. Stay tuned, because they will be picking the very best beach from amongst these six contenders by the end of July.

Interestingly, two New Jersey beaches, Asbury Park and Cape May, which made it onto Thrillist’s list of “25 Best Beach Cities in America,” didn’t make the cut with the voters in this poll. Maybe that’s because we just have so many amazing places to swim and show off our bathing suits that there’s more than enough beach love to go around!
