On Wednesday, the Ocean City Division of Recreation held a sand sculpture building contest, and New Jersey beachgoers got quite creative with their temporary works of art, which included the Statue of Liberty, a mermaid, the American flag, a shark attacking a sunbather, a crocodile and more. If you think you’ve got it what it takes to build your own sand structure, a second sand sculpture contest will take place Wednesday, August 3 at 9 a.m. and you can get more information about it by calling 609-399-6111.
