Once you hit a certain age, birthday gifts usually come in 2 colors: red or white a.k.a. wine! But when your friend is pregnant, what do you do? You can’t show up empty-handed, especially when your friend has a pizza AND ice cream truck at her party. But you also don’t want to give her something she can’t enjoy right away… So what does a girl and fellow momma do? Hit up Ulta and browse the beauty options!
Considering the fact that my friend is pregnant with her 3rd child and the oldest is 4, she’s going to be tired and those oh so helpful people will tell her she looks it (seriously, what do you say to that? Um… thanks?). I knew I wanted something that would make her feel good – whether it was a sugar scrub, an aromatherapy sampler, or lotion – and was within a certain price range i.e. a bottle of wine. And then I spotted a glass of red wine on a facial mask package! Apparently red wine with retinol helps to minimize the signs of aging. Who knew? I was sold, and then picked up a few more packs that all targeted different needs. There were a bunch of different brands and cute packaging to choose from, but I went with Biobelle botanic fiber and 7 Wonders facial masks.
You might have seen celebrities sporting white sheets with face holes in selfies. That’s the latest trend in face mask and that’s what these are. They seem simple to apply and only take 15-20 minutes to work their magic. That comes in handy when you have 3 kids to run after and little time to leave the house for your own pampering.
What do you use? Or do you have any DIY recipes to share? We’d love to know!
