Jeans are always a topic of conversation when it comes fashion must-haves and trendy styles, but  Anne Hathaway is using them in a way you’d never guess: to fight body shaming and open up about baby weight.

The 33-year-old Millburn has remained open and honest about her pregnancy with 4-month-old son Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman and all that came with it, which is why she has no problem addressing any haters who might have anything to say about the weight she’s gained since giving birth.

The Devil Wears Prada star got a little creative by turning a seasoned pair of jeans into shorts, because they didn’t quite fit how they used to before her son entered the world. She then gave some bad ass advice to any woman struggling with weight acceptance and the pressure to be perfect at all times.

“There is no shame in gaining weight during pregnancy (or ever),” Anne wrote on Instagram. “There is no shame if it takes longer than you think it will to lose the weight (if you want to lose it at all).

This isn’t the first time the happily married actress’s weight came into question in the public eye. Remember when Anne cried after a rude encounter with a trainer at the gym? She handled it like a boss.

There’s nothing like seeing women unite to promote positivity and empowerment! We applaud you Anne, you go girl!

“There is no shame in finally breaking down and making your own jean shorts because last summer’s are just too dang short for this summer’s thighs,” Anne continued. “Bodies change. Bodies grow. Bodies shrink. It’s all love (don’t let anyone tell you otherwise). Peace xx”
