In 2013, the Jonas Brothers breakup destroyed the hearts of millions around the world. While younger siblings Nick and Joe went on to achieve reputable success with their individual solo careers, Kevin decided to go down a different route filled with love, marriage and a baby carriage.

On Saturday, the 28-year-old former boy band member will appear on Oprah: Where Are They Now? to discuss the group’s rise to fame in music and on the Disney Channel, as well as, the reasonings behind their infamous split. Despite the shock, Kevin admits the separation did wonders for their brotherhood.

“I think we had a different connection just because we were brothers,” Kevin said in a clip of the episode. “When we were on the road or at home, we were still together, and I think that made us stronger.”

But at the same time, I think that’s what pulled it apart, which I think is inevitable when you’re working with your family for so long,” Kevin continued.

Once they were no longer “forced” to be around each other, the brothers were able to explore their true identities.

Kevin is currently living a more quiet life in the New Jersey suburbs of Boonton with his wife Danielle and their beautiful 2-year-old daughter Alena Rose. In June, Danielle revealed she’s pregnant with their second daughter.
