I don’t know about you, but I still can’t get over that epic fight between Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita during Sunday’s episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. The ladies kept rehashing a past argument during that intense Episode 5 battle scene, which seems to be the root of all their issues. With seven seasons under our belts, it can be very easy to forget all the drama that ensued over the years (we know, there was a lot). So here is a refresher for you of that insane hours-long Season 4 showdown between Teresa, Jacqueline, and former Housewife Caroline Manzo — aka porch-gate — which prompted three seasons of drama between the former besties.
Episode 8 of Season 4 basically was the beginning of the end for our beloved Lucy and Ethel. In one of the most famous scenes of the season, Jacqueline confronted Teresa on her back porch about reports that she and hubby Joe Giudice could go to prison for committing bankruptcy fraud. She was also upset that Teresa was not being honest with her about what was going on, and instead was selling her story to the tabloids. The two also went back-and-forth about Teresa’s problems with her brother and sister-in-law, Melissa and Joe Gorga, prompting Tre to utter this classic one-liner, “It’s Frickin’ Jealousy!” Teresa clearly was not happy that Jacqueline was bringing up her legal issues on camera.
To make matters worst, Caroline then unexpectedly pops on scene, making Teresa feel ambushed. Caroline insists she was just dropping off some children’s clothes left at her house, and happened to stumble upon their blowout fight. Caroline then brings up her own beef with Teresa, and more fighting and screaming ensues.
After that day-to-night fight, Jacqueline tells Teresa that she is going to distance herself from her and her family. And that my friends, was the beginning of the end. Will there ever be any hope for these two!? Here’s to hoping these ladies can repairs this heavily broken friendship this season!
