Pumpkin spice season is officially upon us and we literally can’t even

It is officially the most wonderful time of the year. (Well, almost.)

Sure, summer is great. We love spending our weekends at the Jersey Shore. We’ve basically turned rocking summer trends into an Olympic event. We cherish every moment in which we can wear shoes that show off our beautiful pedicures without being asked if we’re cold. But towards the end of August, there’s two little words that have us craving the first day the humidity levels are low enough to finally run a flat iron through our hair: pumpkin spice.

Depending on how many pumpkin spice enthusiasts you follow on social media, you may have already seen a few Snapchat selfies of your friends drinking fall’s favorite drink. All Dunkin Donuts locations will have pumpkin products (coffees, donuts, muffins and Munchkins) by August 29. Metro New York already has the flavor but a number of locations around the country do, too. Think of it as a pumpkin spice scavenger hunt!

Starbucks is keeping their release date a secret (the pumpkin spice game is intense, okay?), but E! reports that it was released on September 8 last year. This season, they’ve released a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino Chilled Beverage, which is available at major grocery stores for $2.89 a bottle or at club stores in packs of 15 for $16.99.

To add to the excitement, McDonalds is bringing back its McCafe Pumpkin Spice Latte for the first time since 2013, according to Delish. The drink will be available August 31 and is probably the second greatest “spice” revival we could have asked for. (A Spice Girls reunion would be number one, obviously.)

Additionally, Cricket Hill Brewing Company will be releasing their Pumpkin Ale on August 25. Tastings at their Fairfield brewery are on the 25 and 26 from 5 to 8 p.m., and the 27 from 1 to 5 p.m.

If you can’t wait until you’ve left the beach to get your pumpkin fix, you can grab a pumpkin pie smoothie from Bashful Banana Bakery and Cafe on the Ocean City Boardwalk.

Happy almost fall!
