You deserve a little break, so head to one of these stunning places.

Just because summer break is almost over doesn’t mean the vacation has to end. While you might not be able to get away for two full weeks just yet, there are still plenty of great spots all over the state for a staycation. Whether you’re into biking, gambling or simply relaxing New Jersey is home to stunning hotels that will make you feel a world away even for a weekend.

Here are our favorite spots for an easy (but luxurious) getaway.

1. Borgata in Atlantic City

Even if it’s a bit too chilly to walk along the boardwalk, this stunning hotel is home to so many activities you’ll never have to leave. Between their chef curated restaurants by Bobby Flay and Wolfgang Puck and their top-rated spa, you’ll leave here after a couple of nights chilled out. Of course, there’s plenty of excitement too if that’s what you’re looking for. You can gamble and dance the night away in the elegant casino and onsite nightclubs.

2. The Tamaracks Country Villa in Andover

I normally don't take pictures of the hotel room but…

Calling all nature lovers. You’ll love staying at this renovated stone farmhouse and mansion because it’s perfectly situated along tons of hiking trails. Spend the day exploring in the woods before returning to your uber private accommodations (there’s only seven rooms available). All together now: ahhhh.

3. Mountain Creek Hotel in Vernon Township

Whether you want to ski, bike or hike, Mountain Creek Resort is the perfect place to indulge your active side. After a day hitting the slopes or trails head back to one of three types of accommodations available: The Appalachian, Black Creek Sanctuary or Mountain Top Cabins.  The first is perched and comes equipped with kitchens and fireplaces, while the second is in a gated community of townhouses. If you really want to get away from it all, then reserve your own custom-built cabin surrounded by three lakes and eight miles of trails.

4. Bernard’s Inn in Bernardsville

If eating, shopping and relaxing is on the itinerary then book a room at the luxury 100-year-old Bernard’s Inn. It’s perfectly situated in the picturesque town of Bernardsville. You can walk to the nearby shops, dine at the hotel’s restaurant, which features wine tastings, before retiring to your elegant room that boasts a satellite flat-screen TV, fine linens and Aveda bath products.

5. Asbury Park Hotel in Asbury Park

This might just be the hippest hotel in New Jersey. Newly opened, the Asbury Park Hotel is the perfect combo if it’s rock n’ roll history with an upscale vibe. On the ground-floor lounge you can play ping-pong, pinball machines, or board games. Then head upstairs to the ocean view rooftop restaurant to chow down before hitting the hay in their gorgeous rooms that could double as an art gallery.

6. Woolverton Inn in Stockton

Live out your Pride and Prejudice fantasies at this elegant and historic bed and breakfast. Set on 300 acres the 1792 manor house is home to gorgeous rooms that include private baths and featherbeds all with the Colonial décor. There’s even five cottage suites on the property for some extra privacy. If you want to get away from your haven for a bit the Golden Nugget Antique Flea Market and Fonthill Castle are just down the road.

7. The Inn At Millrace Pond in Hope

Well ain't this the cutest lil wedding venue you ever did see #willshagg2016

Four-poster beds and exposed beams are just some of the charming details of this 18th and 19th century B&B. Once a grist mill, the property still retains elements of its past with modern updates like en suite whirlpools. Breakfast is served in a woodsy-chic restaurant and you can sample wine from the cellar or enjoy a bite in the stone-walled tavern. You can even bring Fido along as pets are welcome for a fee.
