Bruce Springsteen’s concert was home to a romantic proposal on August 24.

Bruce Springsteen has already been wowing concertgoers for the past three nights in East Rutherford, New Jersey where he’s been putting on four-hour-long shows. But, it was an extra special night on August 24 at his Baltimore, Maryland concert for two fans as they got engaged on stage.

The Boss invited the couple up in between songs and said, “I’m going to turn it over to you.” We all know what happens next, the young man got down on one knee and asked his girlfriend if she would do him “the honor of staying with me for the rest of our lives.”  She nodded yes and Bruce encouraged the crowd to applause.

“You are now pronounced in the name of rock and roll, husband and wife,” he quipped before giving the duo a hug and posing with them for a picture.

Between his epic marathon sessions of playing, proposals and fan moments from his daughter Jessica Springsteen, we can only image what’s in store for the rest of The River Tour.
