Macy’s is creating a space on the third floor of the Paramus Park location for a Backstage “store within a store.”

Shoppers rejoice! Macy’s is preparing to open a branch of its outlet division, Macy’s Backstage, in Paramus Park Mall next week on September 10.

The location of shopping heaven will be on the third floor of the on-site Macy’s store making it essentially a store within a store. While other outlets like Century 21 Department Store, Bloomingdale’s The Outlet Store, Marshall’s, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, already exist this event marks the first Backstage store in all of Bergen County.

“I’m so excited about this news,” Ho-Ho-Kus resident Jessica Stephans tells OMJ. “It’s nice that it’s further up on Route 17 so I don’t have to drive all the way to the outlet center on Route 4. Plus, I love Macy’s!”

Only launched last year, the outlet store will offer discounted prices on typical items found in the store, as well as brands sourced specifically for Backstage. According to the company, the goal is that shoppers will “have a second chance to buy the sweater, handbag, dress and shoes they missed from last year,” as well as new merchandise from “cutting-edge designers,” at 20 percent to 80 percent off original prices.

But, this is no discount experience. The outlet will have nice dressing rooms with three-way mirrors, free Wi-Fi and charging stations for your phone. As if you needed another reason to go shopping!
