If you are a fan of Game of Thrones, then you will certainly fall in love with Short Hills jewelry designer Catherine Marion‘s latest collection for Jemily Fine Jewelry . The recently released Demoiselle collection, inspired by the tracery of dragonfly wings, features an assortment of stunning necklaces and earrings in 18kt gold, and adorned with precious and semi-precious stones set with diamonds, reminiscent of the delicate arc of the Demoiselle design. These exquisite pieces have Margaery Tyrell’s name all over them.
The newest addition to this magical and antique-inspired collection is the statement ring. The 18kt gold setting piece is available in three different cabochon gemstones; green amethyst, lavender amethyst, and smoky topaz. Catherine selected oversized stones and placed them in an unexpected manner to show off their dimension and beauty.
She tells me, “The ring has an aura of deep sensuality. I love the way it is lit from within with brilliant fire barely contained by the almost gothic effect of the gold setting.”
Catherine, who named Jemily after daughters Jennifer and Emily, left a long and successful career as a corporate finance attorney, to pursue her passion for jewelry and design. She studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and started her new profession working with renowned designer Sharyn Wolf.
Many of the pieces Catherine designs are truly personal, and she finds inspiration for the beautiful and rare gemstones used in her designs from her own private collection.
