Jessica Lisboa, the fashion blogger behind This Season’s Gold, collaborated with Ann Taylor for a Meet and Greet Style Event at the Garden State Plaza. The September 16th event included a NARS lip bar, Kiehl’s mini-facials and a seriously amazing discount (40% off with an additional 25% discount? Count us in!).
Unfortunately, if you missed the event, you missed the killer discount. However, you can still get 40% off until Monday night. If you prefer to shop online, use discount code YESPLEASE. Let’s take a look at some of the best looks from the event, shall we?
Jessica stunned in head-to-toe Ann Taylor. She paired the Tie Neck Ruffle Blouse with the Cotton Twill Pencil Skirt and finished the outfit off with the Shiloh Tortoiseshell Print Patent D’Orsay Pumps.
Ann Taylor sales lead Jessica Belcaro wore the Geo Lace Fluted Blouse so well that I actually bought one myself (I couldn’t say no to those sleeves!). Her Haley Exotic Embossed Leather Ankle Strap Heels are also to die for.
Store managers Anna Shea (left) and Tara Demas (right) both looked fabulous. Anna’s also wearing the Tie Neck Ruffle Blouse, but it’s versatile enough to avoid an embarrassing “oh my gosh, we’re wearing the same outfit” moment. Tara made the Tulip Jacquard Flare Dress a little edgier with an amazing pair of open toed Free People booties.
Feeling overwhelmed with all of this style inspiration? Us, too. (Seriously, I may have tried on every single piece in the store. Oops!). Thankfully, Jessica shared her three must-have fall pieces.
The first is a belted jacket. Her personal favorite is the Petite Twill Duster.
“I’m a very big fan of the belted jacket,” Jessica explained. “It’s very Scandal. Very Olivia Pope. For a small girl, I like being belted at the waist because it gives me length in the fall and winter when paired with a tall boot.”
Next up? Romantic blouses, like the one Jessica wore.
“Romantic blouses are coming back. I like the ruffle top,” she said. “I’ve been a theatre teacher for 12 years, so I’m particularly excited for the romantic look. It’s definitely an ode to Hamilton. And, it’s flirty, yet professional.”
Lastly, Jessica explained that a sharp, printed suit (Ann Taylor has plenty of options) should be a staple in every woman’s closet.
“The thing about a pinstripe suit on a woman is that not only can she carry it professionally, but she can pair it with jeans. It’s a print you can play! I love it with leopard. It’s sharp but fun, especially with a choker.”
