Say it ain’t so! There’s some Hollywood couples you automatically assume will never split up and Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were definitely one of them. They were one of the first couples to make us fall in love with the celebrity relationship single nickname trend…hello, Brangelina? When news broke Tuesday about Angelina filing for divorce after 12 years together, the world literally stopped (okay maybe that’s a little dramatic, but it seriously felt like it).

The Maleficent star cited irreconcilable difference as the reasoning behind their shocking split and is seeking physical custody of their six kids. According to Page Six, “she hired a private eye because she felt that he was fooling around with her on the set, and it turns out, he was. And that was the final straw.” The rumored third party in question is allegedly actress Marion Cotillard.

As we continue to go through several boxes of tissues (with the help of Siggy Flicker), OMJ thought it would be best to focus on happier times when the former love birds gave every Jersey girl a reason to believe in romance.

Check out the seven times Brangelina gave us extreme relationship goals.

“When someone asked me why Angie and I don’t get married, I replied, ‘Maybe we’ll get married when it’s legal for everyone else.’ I stand by that, although I took a lot of flak for saying it —hate mail from religious groups, Brad told Parade in 2009. “I believe everyone should have the same rights. They say gay marriage ruins families and hurts kids. Well, I’ve had the privilege of seeing my gay friends being parents and watching their kids grow up in a loving environment.”

When they finally tied the knot in 2014, Angelina made sure her kids served a special role in their wedding!
She decorated her white wedding dress with her children’s drawings and she couldn’t have looked more beautiful.

When Brad became his wife’s biggest cheerleader as she battled several traumatic health scares.
In 2013, the actress endured a double mastectomy and Brad was by her side every step of the way. When doctors detected possible signs of cancer, Angelina decided to have her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed. Brad couldn’t help but boast about her strength. “The proudest thing is our family. Excuse us while we cry just a little bit more. At least we have 25 years of Bruce Springsteen and Patty Scialfa to rely on.
