If your idea of the perfect workout includes Pilates, strength training, and cardio – you no longer have to travel into Manhattan to get your sweat on. New Jersey native and Harvard Business School grad Amanda Freeman is bringing her popular fitness brand to Tenafly this October. SLT, the name of Freeman’s company, stands for “Strength Lengthen Tone!”— and that’s just what you’ll do when working out there. While there is already a New Jersey SLT studio in Short Hills, most of the locations are in New York.
What’s so special about SLT? The majority of the classes are spent almost entirely on a “Megaformer,” a machine similar to a Pilates reformer, but better! The new Tenafly location will house at least 10 of these machines and offer a variety of classes to choose from, including beginner-level classes for all you first-timers. The best part? According to Bergen Mama, SLT will offer all newbies their first class for just $20. We’ll see you there!
