Check out these new Fort Lee dining spots during Restaurant Week


Fort Lee is holding its first ever Restaurant Week from Thursday to Sunday. Organized by the Business District Alliance of Fort Lee, 27 restaurants and bars will offer prix fixe menus and specials ranging from $15 to $20. On opening day, September 22, lucky diners might also find themselves face to face with celebrity Chef David Burke. The Hazlet native will visit select restaurants to participate in book signings, food tastings and give out bottles of his DAVID BURKE’s B1 steak sauce. There also be roving musical entertainment so this weekend is a good one to head to Fort Lee!

Although there are plenty of spots to choose from, this is a great chance to check out the three newest restaurants in town:

Aquarius Seafood Restaurant

This Cantonese restaurant opened in June and was named one of the Boozy Burbs Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings for 2016 in Bergen County. With a full bar, this new hot spot has traditional dishes with a modern dining experience. For restaurant week, Aquarius offers three courses for $30.

ShuMai, Steamed Shrimp Dumpling, Vegetable Spring Roll, Steamed or Pan-Fried Pork Dumpling and Steamed or Pan-Fried Vegetable Dumpling

Main Courses
Golden Prawns, Lamb Chop, Buddhist Delight or Angus Steak

Mango Pudding, Coconut Custard or Cinnamon Custard

Babalu Cuban Café

When Raul Vicente Jr. and Patricia Matos realized there weren’t many Hispanic dining options in the Fort Lee area, they were inspired to open Babalu. Raul told the Business District Alliance of Fort Lee that he hopes this will “be the start of some great Hispanic food.” Babalu offers three Restaurant Week specials.

Option One, $25
Vaca Frita, Arroz Verde, Avocado Salad and Traditional Cuban Dessert

Option Two, $20
Cuban Style BBQ Beef Ribs, Potato Apple Salad, Moro and Maduros, Traditional Cuban Dessert

Option Three, $15
Babalu’s Famous Sandwich Cubano, Babalu’s Chicken or Beef Empanada, Pastele de Guava and Queso.

T-Swirl Crepe is the Restaurant Week stop you need to make if you’re looking to get a fantastic Instagram. With locations across the world including Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Manhattan and Toronto, the Fort Lee spot opened up in June. These gluten-free Japanese crepes are absolute pieces of art.

Restaurant Week special: Any two Sweet or Savory Crepes and two iced coffees for $20 with this coupon.

Fort Lee restaurant week runs from Thursday, September 22 through Sunday, September 25. Reservations are recommended.
