If she isn’t already, New Brunswick native Jamie Bochert is a model who should definitely be on your radar! The 30-something model and musician is becoming one of the fashion world’s most talked about celebrities, which is probably why designer Marc Jacobs can’t get enough of her.

The self-trained artist, who sings and plays guitar and piano with her band as Francis Wolf, met Marc when she returned from her modeling hiatus in 2008 after pursuing a career in music. The two have been inseparable ever since. Not only did Jamie open up the runway for his spring 2009 show, but she also tore the stage down behind the microphone during the launch of his new fragrance Decadence last summer.

“The process involves many things,” Jamie told about being Marc Jacobs’ muse. “It could be holding up fabrics and taking photos; or standing while he drapes fabric on me to create a dress or a jacket. I love watching him create what he sees in his mind into reality.”

Although music is her first love, Jamie just can’t seem to ignore her modeling talents. She’s strutted her stuff for popular fashion houses like Chanel, Missoni, Bottega Veneta, Versace, Givenchy, Fendi and that was just this year alone!

You might also recognize the fashionista as the long-time girlfriend of Boardwalk Empire star Michael Pitt. The beautiful couple has been going strong for over 10 years now.

Jamie, who’s often compared to NJ rock icon Patti Smith, has specific taste when it comes to her personal style and the shows she walks in. She dished on the fashion looks that really speak to her.

“I like the way old fabrics feel and look, as well as the craftsmanship and detail,” Jamie told about her favorite type of clothing. “I also like the idea of wearing something that nobody else has because you cannot just go to the store and buy it.”

An amazing career in music and fashion, while also dating one of the hottest men in Hollywood? It’s safe to say we want her life!
