Garden Staters are already getting excited for a Trader Joe’s to come to Hudson County, but now Bergen County residents can be thrilled too as a new Whole Foods is coming to town! Set to open October 19, the new organic grocery store will be one of the anchors in the new Closter Plaza.
“Closter Plaza is coming to life and will become a true gathering place for the Closter community,” said David Germakian, Director of Development for retailer developer EDENS in a statement. “Our retail partners are bringing new concepts to the Bergen County market and will provide the perfect complement to an incredible and diverse retail mix.”
While there are already Whole Foods Markets in Paramus, Edgewater and Ridgewood, this one will mark the center’s long-anticipated revitalization. This “Hub of the Northern Valley” is set to cater to foodies, fashionistas and families and will include relocations of local favorites.
The upscale store will also be joined by other major retailers like Target, HomeGoods and Cinemex. Local favorites Massage Envy and Rudy’s, a beloved Italian eatery and pizzeria, are expected to open in April in their new homes – next to the future Whole Foods Market.
