It’s basically impossible to have a bad day if you’re having a great eyelashes day, so why not find a way to make sure your lashes look flawless all of the time? Whether it’s trying new mascara techniques or experimenting with lash services, there are plenty of ways to step up your eyelash game in the Garden State. Ranked from the quickest fix to the most glamorous solution, here are a few ways to get great lashes in New Jersey.

1. Makeup
You’ve probably tried your fair share of makeup application techniques, but Jersey Shore alum Jenni “JWoww” Farley has a complete routine to keep lashes looking full.  (PS, she did disclose that she loves wearing falsies, but for days where she doesn’t have the time, this is her routine!)

Before even touching a tube of mascara, JWoww suggests using a Q-tip to apply baby powder as a primer to achieve longer, thicker lashes. Next, use a hair dryer to heat up a lash curler. (Although, the mother of two warns to be careful not to burn yourself during this step!) Starting at the root, work your way up to the edge of the lash.

Finally, it’s time to apply the mascara. The 30-year-old recommends using her favorite GrandeMASCARA, as its formula is designed to help lashes grow. (Also, avoid waterproof, as it will dry out and weaken your precious lashes!) Slowly “wiggle” the mascara wand from the root to the edge to avoid clumping.

2. Eyelash tinting
Looking to improve your lashes and simplify your makeup routine, but not sure where to start? Try eyelash tinting. If you have blonde lashes, you can choose a brown or black tint that will make them pop without having to apply mascara daily. If your lashes are already brown or black, tinting will make them appear longer, as the end of a lash hair is typically lighter than the rest. SLS Beauty Lounge in Park Ridge offers lash tinting that will enhance the look of your lashes while maintaining a natural look.

3. False Lashes
The world of false lashes is constantly evolving as new materials continue to take the beauty world by storm. Perhaps one of the most fabulous types of falsies at the moment is mink lashes.

For $25, Muah Makeup in Westwood will apply a set of mink lashes that can be used anywhere from 10 to 25 times. If you bring back the same set, you can have them reapplied for $7. Muah also offers synthetic lashes, which can be used once and are $10, 3D synthetic lashes that are $15 and can survive five to 10 uses or $25 – $40 for individual lashes, which are applied in clusters and can last two days to a week.

4. Eyelash extensions
Eyelash extensions are probably the most effective way to wake up flawless, but be warned. Like hair extensions or acrylic nails, this service can weaken the lashes nature gave you, so it’s important to go somewhere great. Vision of Hair in Hoboken offers quality eyelash services including a full set of natural lashes for $199 and touch ups ranging from $45 – $75.
