We’ve known that New Jersey food blogger and reality TV star Dina Deleasa-Gonsar is a whiz in the kitchen, but she recently got some serious cred after winning this year’s Home & Family Home Cook Contest on the Hallmark channel. Dish It Girl, as she is known to her online fans, was named Best Home Cook and took home the $1,500 prize, the chance to cook for the TV hosts’ family, and joining chef Sean O’Neill on an all-expense paid seven day trip to the Caribbean.
“This is the silly grin you have when you try to hold back tears of joy,” Dina wrote on Instagram to her 79,000 followers after the win. “When you want to scream praise God! My family and friends know the years it took and what this means to me. I was in the company of wonderful people who I befriended and learned from in the Kitchen.”
The talented cook is no stranger to whipping up delicious dishes or being on TV. She has appeared alongside her family (her sister is married to Kevin Jonas) on the E! Networks Married to Jonas and grew up with Sunday dinner being treated like a weekly holiday. While Dina may have gone the cooking route, her sister Kathleen followed her love of fashion opening Westwood boutique Ludvodica.
