Rihanna’s backup dancer was found safe and sound after going missing on Sunday.

It’s a happy ending to a scary story. North Bergen resident Shirlene Quigley, a backup dancer for Rihanna and Beyonce who vanished near the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City at around 1 a.m. on Sunday, turned up safe and is now thanking police for their help. Along with her dad, she stopped by the North Bergen police department to personally thank the detectives involved in her case.

The dancer was found safe at an undisclosed medical facility, and her father flew in from Los Angeles to be with her. The police department credited the public outcry for helping to find Shirlene.”The outpour of concern and assistance from the community and celebrities alike was quite touching,” they wrote. “We could not have done it without their help.”

Shirlene made a cryptic comment to friends before disappearing sparking stars like Rihanna and Missy Elliott to post emotional pleas on Instagram trying to find Shirlene. Luckily, she was found and has been reunited with her family in New Jersey.

“Thank you everyone for your prayers, love, and support. GOD is so good. Special unconditional thank you to our NYPD who literally served and protected,” wrote the 32-year-old North Bergen resident on Instagram. “We are so blessed beyond measure to have people like these gentleman who put their lives on the line daily to help us.”

“I am spending time with family and will return to the dance floor Monday,” she added in her thankful post. “Words can not express the joy and gratitude my souls feels. Love you all more then words look forward to hug and see you all soon.”

The police were also thankful for the happy ending. “We are beyond pleased this situation has come to a successful conclusion,” police wrote in an Instagram post. “The North Bergen Police Department wishes Shirlene health, happiness and success in all of her future endeavors.”
