On Thursday, the Center for Food Action (CFA) held their 40th Anniversary Gala at Seasons in Washington Township to celebrate four honorees who have greatly supported the organization for decades. The honorees included Bergen Highlands-Ramsey Rotary Club with the Community Impact Award, Deborah & Jeffrey Klein with the Distinguished Service Award, Adele LaTourette with the Civic Leadership Award, and WhyHunger with the Philanthropy Partner Award.
Guests indulged in a night of delicious food and live entertainment, including performances by singer Tom Chapin. NBC 4 New York reporter Jen Maxfield acted as Master of Ceremonies for the evening.
CFA provides in-need families in northern New Jersey with emergency services like food, housing, utility and heating assistance, as well as, counseling and advocacy for low-income individuals. Their mission is to prevent hunger and homelessness in the area, while also improving the lives of those living in poverty.
