There have been many medical strides in the fight toward ending childhood type 1 diabetes and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is looking to continue that success. They held their annual One Walk fundraiser on Sunday at The New Overpeck Park in Ridgefield Park, drawing in hundreds of supporters.
JDRF One Walk is the largest type 1 diabetes (T1D) fundraising event in the world. All the proceeds and awareness raised by the attendees and sponsors help to end the diabetes battle millions are facing right now.
The crowd was filled with volunteers, families and friends who personally know someone suffering with the disease or just looking to help make a difference.
