‘New Jersey Holiday’: Recreate these timeless Audrey Hepburn looks

Audrey Hepburn is a style icon whose looks influence our wardrobe choices on the daily. The Oscar-winning actress (whose first husband was Jersey-born Mel Ferrer) is the subject of a new retrospective book AUDREY: THE 50S by David Wills which showcases Audrey during the years that solidified her place among the acting elite. The book’s gorgeous design includes classic images digitally restored, never-before-seen publicity photos, previously unpublished “posed candids” of Audrey at home, and much more.

The images in this book are absolutely beautiful, here I show you how to get the Audrey look within the Garden State!

The classic chic black pant and top ensemble with a metallic flat from this 1954 photo is still on point for today’s woman.

Get the look: start with a classic t-shirt from Forever 21 at Garden State Plaza as the base for the outfit.

Add a black high rise pant  from Forever 21 Garden State Plaza and an embellished flat from Kohl’s complete this stylish and comfortable outfit!

A golden Hollywood dress is perfect for the upcoming holiday season! This was one of Audrey’s outfits from her first starring role alongside Gregory Peck in 1953’s Roman Holiday.

Get the look:
the brocade and intricate detailing on this dress make a glam statement. This dress at Nordstrom Garden State Plaza  is flirty with a modern silhouette. This dress totally has the feeling of the Audrey style. Pair this with a red lip in the Love Liberty shade by Charlotte Tilbury and glittering Bauble Bar earrings also from Nordstrom set the scene for YOU to steal the spotlight!

A black fit and flare dress like this style that Audrey wore in Sabrina is always classic and works well for any occasion!

Get the look: This ECI Off-the-shoulder fit and flair dress at Macy’s Garden State Plaza is a fabulous way to wear this style. This silhouette flatters many body shapes and has an easy hidden zipper on the side. Add a pair of sparkling earrings and a hot shoe to complete this night out on the town look! The eyebrows are also a focal point in all of these photos. I recommend the Anatasia Brow Wiz found at Sephora to achieve this!

For my style inspiration and a glimpse of Hollywood life in the 1950s, the book is now available for purchase at major retailers including Barnes & Noble.
