Season seven of the Real Housewives of New Jersey might be over, but that doesn’t mean you have to say goodbye to your favorite ladies of late night television. Professional relationship expert and one of our favorite newest additions to the cast, Siggy Flicker, is signing copies of her popular book Write Your Own Fairy Tale: The New Rules for Dating, Relationships, and Finding Love On Your Terms on November 12 in Saddle River.
Throughout the show and whether they asked for it or not, the Tenafly resident was always willing to lend advice to her friends. She tells it like it is and always speaks from the heart, which is why we absolutely love her. If you have yet to get your hands on her book, then expect the same type of no holds barred guidance mixed with her hilarious sense of humor.
WHY I WROTE THE BOOK: Actually, there are three reasons I wrote this book. * To give you a pep talk and remind you that it’s okay to want your happy ending—you deserve it, a happy relationship, and in fact, wanting in and working (hard!) towards is the only way it will happen. But you have to have the right, positive attitude. * To remind you to be clear and realistic about what you want in a partner, now and in the long term. Because this is not about just grabbing on to the first thing out there, or staying with a guy just because you don’t want to be alone; or finding someone your mom approves of, it’s about getting what YOU, and only you, want and need. That’s what will bring lasting happiness. * And, most importantly, to give you CONCRETE steps to figure out what you want from your love life and EXACTLY how to get it! So What is So Special/Unique About this Book? · The stories. I share a lot of stories in the book, including the nitty gritty details of my own, because stories are how we make sense of the world. I don’t know about you but when I get together with friends we always talk about what’s going on with our other girlfriends—not in a mean way at all— but the ins and outs of other people’s relationships—the good, the bad and the ugly– help us make sense of our own. We learn from others. So I packed this book with telling stories. · The advice. This book is chock full of good, concrete advice, based on my years and years of expertise because that’s what you want, right? Women are always asking me, but WHAT DO I DO? In this book, I tell you exactly what to do….and what not to do · *The interactive parts. There are lots of great (FUN!) exercises, which will help you learn about yourself and what you may be doing to get in your own way. I also want to thank my friend #wendywilliams for writing the blurb on the back cover #grateful #rhonj #loveyourself #knowyourworth #writeyourownfairytale
Meet the married mother of two from 1 p.m. – 3p.m. at The Interior Design Showhouse For Heroes In Saddle River. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because that’s the same luxurious mansion we visited for the Heroes to Heroes preview party. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the fabulous house, which features two master bedrooms and 18 other spacious rooms, each designed by leading interior designers.
All proceeds from the book signing will benefit the Heroes to Heroes Foundation, a non-denominational organization providing peer support, suicide prevention and spiritual healing for veterans suffering from PTSD and injuries.
