If you’re a fan of looking at nail art photos on Instagram, you’ve probably heard of Rose Nails Lounge in West New York. This spot is one of the most Instagram-worthy nail salons in New Jersey and a favorite of manicure queen Coco AustinThe salon has recently moved to a new location on Bergenline Ave and we got an exclusive look into its grand opening!

After months of planning, the new Rose Nails Lounge is complete with plenty of upgrades, including iPads at every pedicure station (to watch Netflix and Instagram photos of your new nails, obviously), air purification systems and full hair and skin care service.

“This is the next version of Rose Nails Lounge,” said owner Yosbel Mompellier. “We have more technology and more stations. We’ve upgraded all of our pedicure stations and our acrylic tables to include the air purification systems so the nail filings and dust are cut.”

Although the salon now operates at a new level, Yosbel and his wife, Paula made sure not to raise prices. Yosbel is also a police officer, which has given him a unique perspective to improve his business. After spending time in hospitals for work, he has been inspired to make sanitation a priority.

“Sanitation is our number one thing,” Yosbel explained. “Our number one expense. We have a professional cleaning crew come in every night. Our equipment is hospital rank. Hopefully, everyone else steps up their game, because we have set the standard.”

The Mompelliers hope that paired with personable customer service, the extra effort to sanitize the salon gives customers a happy experience and a piece of mind.

Bea Oliveti, a West New York native is excited about the new location. A client of the salon for nearly three years, she makes two visits a week for manicures, pedicures and eyebrow waxing.

“I appreciate the personable service and the fact that it’s a relaxing, elegant salon,” said Bea. “It’s very professional treatment.”

In fact, most of the clients at Rose Nails Lounge have been making frequent visits for the past few years. (Which totally justifies the level of seriousness appointment-making is met with. Appointments require a $20 deposit and a cancellation will be met with a $20 fee.)

“I’ve been coming to them for a long time,” said client Amicia Toledo. “They’re such great people, they just make it so amazing.”
