Seoul food: the 12 most popular spots for Korean cuisine in Bergen County

Northern New Jersey is home to some of the most delicious Korean cuisine outside of Seoul. There’s even an area in Palisades Park known as Koreatown, which is, according to the New York Times, populated by more than 44 percent of people of Korean descent and is full of numerous businesses with the flavor of the culture, including the 24-hour mecca known as King Spa. So if you’re craving East Asian food and don’t know where to go, or want to give Korean cuisine a try but don’t know where to start, there’s no need to head into Manhattan. Here’s our visual culinary tour of the most Instagram-popular places to find this ancient and varied cuisine in Bergen County.

Our list includes full-service restaurants serving everything from kimchi (fermented vegetables) to Bibimbap (a mixed rice dish with various ingredients which CNN readers named one of the 50 best foods in the world) to coffee shops where you can find traditional delicacies such as snow patbingsu (shaved ice with sweet red beans and fruit) and supermarkets with all the hard-to-find imported ingredients needed to create a unique dish of your own.
