Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson might have one the ultimate title of People’s 2016 Sexiest Man Alive, but It looks like fellow nominee and actor Kal Penn is having the last laugh. The Montclair native put his childhood bullies on blast on Thursday via an Instagram post, letting them know those taunting years couldn’t and wouldn’t deter him from achieving the success he has today!

The photo collage was dedicated to the kids who made fun of him while he attended Marlboro Middle School in Marlboro Township and featured a vintage yearbook photo of the Harold & Kumar star wearing bifocals, button-up shirt and a funky haircut, alongside a snapshot of his section in the Sexiest Man Alive list and the People magazine cover photo.

“I’d like to dedicate page 126 of the current issue of @people to the kids who bullied me in Middle School,” Kal wrote in his Instagram caption. “You all know who you are.”

You know what they say, “Be careful who you call ugly in middle school.” The 39-year-old avid Hillary Clinton supporter was met with nothing but support from his fan base of more than 40K followers, including a former school bandmate.

Kal played the baritone saxophone in the jazz band while in middle school and went on to attend The Fine and Performing Arts Academy (a magnet program) at Howell High School in Monmouth County.

Great energy today – and lots of solid work on great causes. ????
