Have you ever browsed gorgeous clothes on one of your favorite fashion retailers’ mobile sites, then wanted to immediately go try them on to make sure you got the perfect fit before pressing “buy?” Well, with Nordstrom’s new Reserve & Try app, you’ll soon be able to do just that! The app launched recently in the department store’s Western Washington locations, and according to the Puget Sound Business Journal, will roll out nationally in 2017.

With this exciting app, you’ll be able to select the clothes you want to try on, like this sweater and boot pairing below, find them at your local store, and have them waiting for you to try on in a reserved fitting room in a matter of hours. You’ll be notified when they’re ready and then you can save the drama of running all over and combing through rack after rack to find your size only to be disappointed that there’s none left. You save time and don’t have to feel pressured to buy online without knowing exactly how that coat, dress or pair of killer shoes looks on you.

Of mobile shopping, the company’s Co-president Erik Nordstrom told Puget Sound Business Journal, “We know that’s how lots of our customers have been shopping, but they start online and when they go in the store and want to actually see it, touch it, feel it, try it on, they have to start over. This allows them not to start over.” Whether your casual browsing turns into an I-must-have-this-now moment, or you simply want to make shopping more efficient and reduce the likelihood of having to return something because it’s not as perfect on you as it was online, this app is sure to be a lifesaver, giving you more time to show off how good you look in your new duds!

Shea Jensen, Nordstrom’s vice president of customer experience, told Geekwire, “We realize that customers want to shop on their terms. Reserve & Try In Store is a way to help make the shopping experience easier for customers who like to touch, feel and try on items before buying them. We hope it helps combine the convenience of shopping online with a quick and efficient in-store experience.”

Nordstrom has five New Jersey locations (not counting Nordstrom Rack), at Garden State Plaza in Paramus, The Mall at Short Hills, Freehold Raceway Mall, Menlo Park Mall in Edison and at the Cherry Hill Mall.
